We require a minimum of 5 participants and a maximum of 6. Full payment for 5 participants is required to reserve this private workshop.

- The tools and equipment for the desired project.
- Additional materials as described for each unique project.
You provide:
- The space.
- Tables & chairs.
- The participants.
Site Logistics:
- We apply a $20 gas surcharge for all contracted workshops outside 11 miles of Bayfield.
- We need 1 hour before start of workshop for set-up.
- We need 1 hour afterwards for break-down.
- Please contact us to talk about tables. We will need:
- Enough tables and chairs for students.
- 1 table for soldering
- 1 table for texturing (must be sturdy and wooden or metal). If you can dance on the table then it is probably sturdy enough.
Lissa Flemming, owner of Silverwaves Jewelry, is an art jewelry maker, torch slinger and anvil striker. She LOVES to share her jewelry knowledge and inspire creativity in a safe and inspiring atmosphere.
Even if you think you don’t have a creative bone in your body, Lissa will teach, challenge and empower you to find that creativity and make something glorious using the skills she shares during the workshop.
Lissa started her teaching career tutoring Biology during college and later continued coaching kayaking classes and later educating about the natural history of whales and ocean biology during mulit-day kayaking and whale watching adventure trips in Baja’s Gulf of California.
She’d love you to join her as she assists you in opening your eyes, hands, and souls to the wonders of jewelry and metal.
- Texture techniques using hammer and a steel block
- Form ring shapes using copper and sterling silver wire
- Use of jeweler hand tools including hammers, pliers and cutters
- Use of ring mandrel and dies
- Safely use butane torch to the rings you create
- Use of sandpaper and metal files for finish work
- Reading glasses or magnifiers
- Headband, clip or holder to keep your hair back when using the drill press
- Notebook and pen/pencil to jot down important ideas, thoughts, etc.
- Close-toed studio shoes to wear during workshop.
- Enthusiasm and patience (remember you will be learning a billion new and fun skills for the first time—enjoy the moment and BREATHE)
