This special milky blue - gray stone has beautiful horizontal banding. At the very top of the stone is a translucent band containing, what looks like a mini snow covered mountain range. The hand hammered and textured sterling back piece has lines that perfectly match the bands in the stone. At the top of the back piece there are hundreds of tiny dots that add a glow to the "mountain range".

Chalcedony is a bluish translucent gemstone the seems to glow from within. it is a form of silica, composed of fine intergrowths of quartz and moganite. It comes in many colors from white, gray, brown, and blue, to black. It often has a waxy luster.

Chalcedony is thought to be a stone of balance, helping to enhance emotional, mental, and physical balance. Chalcedony, worn close to the throat is believed to help treat problems related to the neck and vocal cords.
