Ode to Vincent Blue Pietersite Pendant 090

Pietersite comes in many colors from blues to gold, red, green, and orange. This Blue Pietersite is very unusual because it contains most of the colors in one stone. If you are a Van Gogh fan you may see a bit of Starry Night in the stone. The base of the stone reminds me of the hills and fields below Vincent''s swirling and starry sky. Pietersite is an unusual stone found primarily in China and Namibia. Discovered in the 1960s, it is technically a Quartz family stone from Riebeckite and Limonite. it is often called a Pseudomorph crystal, as it began as Crocidolite and ended up as Quartz.
