THOMSONITE
Thomsonite is a very unique stone only found on a small 6-mile stretch of beach on the North Shore of Lake Superior in Minnesota. Thomsonite is formed like agates through water percolation into petrified bubbles in the basalt. Thomsonite is much rarer than an agate. It is even considered a semiprecious stone by some. Look for an “iris” of pale green and radiating circles or “veins” of pink.
