The Sawtooth Mountains are a range of hills or small mountains on the North Shore of Lake Superior in  Minnesota. They were formed when a slab of volcanic rock collapsed into what is now the Lake Superior basin. The other side of the "slab" extends across the lake to the Keewenaw Peninsula of Michigan where the titled strata help form the Porcupine Mountains.

This pendant reminds me of the various topography of "mountains" that you can find on the West and East sides of the lake. Highlighted with the moon which also contributes to seiche, a tide-like effect found on the Great Lakes.
